If you think that the lock screen in Windows 8 is unnecessary and want to have faster access to the logon screen, then you should disable it.
Move your mouse to the bottom-right corner of the screen and click on Search. In the search field type gpedit.msc
2. Launch gpedit.msc app
3. Navigate to Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Control Panel\Personalization.
4. Double-click the Do not display the lock screen option, set it to Enabled and click on Apply
